German Daleks!!!

Even though the actual German word for “exterminate” is “ausrotten“. So, despite being geniuses, language doesn’t appear to be the dalek’s forte…
Of course, hearing daleks saying AUSROTTEN! just wouldn’t have been understood by the vast majority of viewers (including me) and would have removed the hilarity.
UPDATE: There’s also the French Dalek…
It has been great to see the excellent Martha Jones back in action — and also speaking some German, I noticed.
Incidentally, from the pronunciation, I had worked out that the word should be spelt ‘exterminieren’ — but of course I might be wrong.
