george-w-bush-waveWhat possessed him to say something so monumentally stupid?

[George W Bush] ended a private meeting with the words: “Goodbye from the world’s biggest polluter.”

He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock. (The Telegraph)

No matter what your view is on climate change [personally, I don't care], making a joke about pollution in such a way shows a complete lack of anything even resembling intelligence. Being proud of the amount of pollution you make is not a good thing.

This shows precisely why Americans must so be looking forward to November.
