Time, please!
Both Gordon Brown and the United Kingdom are calling for time. Meaning entirely different things, of course.
Gordon Brown wants more time to prove he can lead the country. One would have thought that eleven years as the effective number 2, being Chancellor, and 15 months as Prime Minister [plus all that time between Blairs resignation and Brown's non-election] would have been enough.
The country is calling time on Gordon Brown – and this entire Labour government. Telling them it is no time to put on their jackets and get the hell out.
Even the trade unions and the Guardian are now warming to Cameron.
