1984 all ready and raring to go

Two days ago, there were 12 MPs yet to be nabbed for the “1984 aint an instruction manual” campaign to send a copy of George Orwell’s most famous book to every MP in the Commons.

But now all MPs have been accounted for. 646 copies of 1984 will arrive at the Commons on November 5, one to be delivered to each MPs office.

This campaign has been organised by LPUK, because our MPs need to understand that they are our rights and we won’t let them be taken away with a fight.

On November 5th 1605 Guido Fawkes, ‘the only man to enter Parliament with honest intent’, sought to end the repressive rule of a King from Scotland who brought repression to the Country. The rule of the Stuarts ended on the battlefield of Naseby, with Absolutism subordinate to the rule of Law and Parliament.

The United Kingdom has now become riven with Cameras, unaccountable Local Authorities losing millions in Iceland. Who are speaking up for the people of this Country, as we are plundered as taxpayers to prop up the Banks, not the MPs that’s for sure.

My book is ready and waiting to be posted on Monday to drop into the postbox of an MP, ready and waiting to be read as a warning of what the policies they are supporting are taking us towards.

What does this say to our politicians? That 646 of us – one for each of them – are more than willing to purchase an mail a book to them as an illustration of where the laws they pass are sending us. And there are plenty more like us.
