There was a time, when under a previous speaker (Weatherill I think), that Scouts were invited to the HoC.

Each Troop in the district nominated 3 Scouts to go, local business sponsored the limo to take us up to London. We sent a cub, a Scout, and a Venture Scout. Two boys and a teenaged girl.

There was no lobbying; we were all too dumbstruck to say anything other than "thanks Mr Speaker!".

We were treated to a small speech by Mr Speaker, a slap up lunch of cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off (among other things), and a guided tour of the House.

Says something about the current "government" that they can't even tolerate argument from pre-pubescent boys, though, doesn't it?
