Little man syndrome
Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President, suffers from “little man syndrome” and goes to extreme lengths to disguise th fact that he is only 5’5″ tall, from hving his wife wear flat shoes when out with him, to standing on a box to deliver a speech and ensuring that only workers shorter than him stood on a platform.
He really should get over the fact that he’s only a little man. It doesn’t really matter all that much. Yes, he might look slightly silly on occasion if everyone else is towering over him, but nowhere near as silly as he looks constantly trying to hide the unhideable fact that he is smaller than average.
If he accepted it and just ignored it, few others would mention it. After all, he’s not the only short world leader – Russian President Dmitri Medvedev is 5’4″ and Berlusconi mastches Sarkozy at 5’5″. But no-one even knows what their height is, because they don;t make an issue of it!
Sarkozy only draws ridicule on himself by making these attempts to hide his height – and the media like nothing more than to puncture an arrogant man’s bubble.
