10 for 2010

I reviewed my nine for 2009 yesterday. Here’s my ten predictions/hopes for 2010:

  1. The general election will be held in March.
  2. The internet will play an important part in the general election campaign, with the blogosphere breaking stories about local candidates.
  3. Richard Harrington wins Watford.
  4. The electorate will show their disdain for expense-cheat MPs.
  5. The Conservatives will get a relatively small majority (30-60)
  6. The Lib Dems will fail to make any significant inroads on the political scene, with only a small rise in the number of MPs.
  7. Gordon Brown has to be forced to resign as Labour leader by a cabal of former Cabinet ministers after electoral defeat.
  8. David Cameron launches straight into action as Prime Minister, with an Emergency Budget to cut the national debt.
  9. England get knocked out of the World Cup in the semi-finals in penalities.
  10. The new Doctor Who series is fantastic.

Now, roll on the new year!
