10 for 2010
I reviewed my nine for 2009 yesterday. Here’s my ten predictions/hopes for 2010:
- The general election will be held in March.
- The internet will play an important part in the general election campaign, with the blogosphere breaking stories about local candidates.
- Richard Harrington wins Watford.
- The electorate will show their disdain for expense-cheat MPs.
- The Conservatives will get a relatively small majority (30-60)
- The Lib Dems will fail to make any significant inroads on the political scene, with only a small rise in the number of MPs.
- Gordon Brown has to be forced to resign as Labour leader by a cabal of former Cabinet ministers after electoral defeat.
- David Cameron launches straight into action as Prime Minister, with an Emergency Budget to cut the national debt.
- England get knocked out of the World Cup in the semi-finals in penalities.
- The new Doctor Who series is fantastic.
Now, roll on the new year!
