Nine for 2009 redux
I made nine wishes for 2009. Lets see how I did…
1. To gain my wood badge as a Scout leader
Nearly, but not quite. I’m four moduels away!
2. For the Conservatives to consistently poll above 45%
Just like in 2008, this didn’t materialise. But the polling lead is still good enough.
3. To double the number of visitors this blog each day
Nope.
4. For reliigous leaders to manage to not interfere in politics for an entire year
I think this happened! At least, I don’t recall any…
5. For Labour to suffer very badly in the local elections
Very much a “yes” here.
6. For the Lib Dems to come fourth in the European elections
They were indeed.
7. To learn a new skill
Erm, maybe… well, no.
8. For all members of the Shadow Cabinet to do their job full time
They did, after pressure from Cameron.
9. For British political parties to really begin to take the internet and politics seriously.
I think this has begun. MyConservatives shows that the Tories are, and both Labour and the Lib Dems have poor imitations. Plus, the amount of money and time the parties are spending online is far more than before.
