The future’s bright, the future’s blue.
Starting in the new year, the Conservatives are to set out a draft manifesto with a policy-a-day blitz to show the country that they have a substantial programme of policies in order to rescue us from the results of twelve years of incompetent Labour government. And more than that, the message will be a brighter one.
This is what we want to see. Policies that do more than give us a doom-and-gloom outlook, that promise more than pain for a little gain. But a plan that looks forward, to the light at the end of the tunnel and when the order of the day is sharing the proceeds of growth rather than paying off the national debt.
David Cameron must start the New Year with a spring in his step and with a plan to set out his vision for the country. If he can do that, and convincingly, the country will back him. Gordon Brown can’t do anything other than doom and gloom, it simpl isn’t in his make-up. But Cameron can do sunny, he can do upbeat and show us how things can get better.
There is light at the end of the tunnel, and that light is bright blue.
Things can only get better under a Conservative government.

You’re not actually thinking of announcing some policies are you?
