Too many “environmentalists” have far more than one axe to grind. They’re not interested in just trying to save the planet from global warming (or climate change, as it is now named – luckily for them, considering it’s been the coldest January in 20 years), but in forcing other change in under this banner.

Green campaigners should do precisely that campaign on environmental issues. Leave political and social issues out of it. Don’t try and make people change their lifestyles for any other reason than saving the planet. Leave your other issues at home.

By trying to force other change through hidden within the green agenda, they are effectively undermining their own arguments – all of them. People aren’t as stupid as they seem to think they are and can see what they are doing, and so begin to doubt what they’re saying because the hidden agendas are not as hidden as the green lobby think they are.

If climate change is to be stopped, that needs to be focused on and not confused by the introduction of other issues. Because that weakens the message.

Less politics, more science (and fewer lies) please.
